Sexual Healing – 10 great health benefits of sex

By Princes On May 27, 2008 Under Relationship

While many may relate sex to simple ‘fun’, it also comes along with a bonus of health benefits. Read on to find out.

Relieves Stress: Studies show that sex lowers blood pressure levels and also reduces overall stress level among both men and women. People having frequent intercourse show a better capacity to deal with stressful situations. Frequent hugs lower blood pressure in women.

Boosts immunity: Those who have regular sex once or twice every week have higher levels of an antibody called immunoglobulin A or Ig A and so are better protected form infections like cold.

Burns Calories: Sex requires a great deal of physical stamina and is an excellent work out. Moreover, the “fun” part doesn’t make it feel like an exercise at all. Studies show that 30 minutes of sex burns 85-250 calories or more. So 15-42 such sessions will burn about 3750 calories, more than enough to lose a pound.

Healthy heart: Research has shown that having intercourse at least once a week drastically reduces that risks of a fatal heart attack by almost 50% in all men and women compared to those who had only once a month.

Boosts Self Esteem: This a well known fact that, we feel great when our man is completely satisfied, and it is same with him too.

Improves intimacy: Orgasm, the ultimate pleasure, also increases the level of oxytocin, also known as “love hormone” which plays an important role in building trust between partners. So the next time you feel a lot more generous and loved, you know who to credit.

Reduces Pain: As oxytocin increases, it increases endorphins and that in the process reduce the pain.

Avoids Prostate cancer in men: Frequent ejaculations often remove any cancerous cells.

Strengthens pelvic floor muscles: The sex exercise strengthens pelvic floor muscles giving far more pleasure and reduces risk of incontinence in later stages of life.

Helps you sleep better: Oxytocins released during orgasm help to maintain a healthy weight and stabilizes blood pressure and helps to have a better sleep, this might be the reason why he starts snoring the next moment, though he is very active while having sex.

So, lets not ignore sex, lets enjoy the “pleasure” as well as its health bonuses.

Hey Peter, If you think it’s gross, then don’t think of how your parents made you.

I agree with all of the above facts of how sex helps the body. After sex, I feel positive and what ever was wrong seems to be much better. The sweating promotes weight loss and overall it does make you sleep better. If everyone was sexually active maybe there overall appearance would be different.

whats with shady? why is he being so insecure like and saying mean things? get over yourself shady!

Well, I thought it was a good article, might even refer to it on my blog: singlewomanhavingsex.blogspot.com

April: Start with the things that you know turn you on and get your husband to do that to get you more in the mood! Think about what it is that gets you in the mood all day, plan it out in your head to get that from (or give to!) your husband and then jump him for a change!

Great artical i have seen it floating around the net before tho.

To April: All i can say its loots of foreplay. Mess around for a day maybe to send flirt emails or naughty text messege something to make the anticipation almost unbarbable than finally when you meet at night you’ll(hopefully) be so sexually frustrighted you won’t be able to control your self and will be bale to have a good time. or even experiment talk to one another find out if there is anything you like maybe him saying your name or wearing a costume maybe even a innocent massage turned in to something more just experiment have fun with it you are married put it to good use.
